Tandem Flight
We’ll show you the Central Swiss Alps from a bird’s eye view.
We are passionate paragliders and share our enthusiasm for flying with others. Our team of experienced flight instructors and pilots offers unforgettable passenger flights.
Even if you have no previous experience, you can experience what it’s like to fly on a passenger flight. After a few steps, the glider fills with air – and we float silently over the valley, villages, fields, and lakes.
Our flights take place in the beautiful Engelberg Valley and around Lake Lucerne, offering impressive panoramic views of the mountains of Central Switzerland.
Whether it’s your first flight or a new challenge, experience the freedom of the sky with us.
The tandem flights are carried out in cooperation with touch and go.
Passenger information
Safety
The safety of our passengers is our top priority. Flight safety is a combination of experience, good equipment and prudent behaviour on the part of the pilot. This ensures maximum safety for you!
Paragliding in Switzerland is a low-risk sport. We only fly with modern paragliding equipment and with tandem pilots who are licensed by the Swiss Hang Gliding Association.

Weather
To achieve a longer flight time, we need thermals, just like glider pilots. Thermals occur more frequently and are stronger in spring than in summer, autumn and winter. When the sky is blue, there is usually not much going on, or there is a foehn wind, which means we cannot fly! So don’t pay attention to the weather – book in good time! We always decide on the flights for the next day between 7 and 8 p.m. We fly all year round!

Hike & Fly Tandem flights
Ideal for hikers and mountaineers – this type of paragliding is becoming increasingly popular and begins with a hike up to the launch site. Depending on the summit, the hike takes around 2-3 hours. We then take a break and have something to eat before flying back down into the valley with our paragliders. Longer hikes can also be arranged on request. Prices for these flights are available on request!

Passenger flights for children
Flying with children is very easy and a lot of fun. We have special equipment for paragliding with children. A consent form must be signed by the parents/guardians.

Paragliding passenger cross-country flights
Thanks to continuous development, cross-country flights are also possible with a paraglider. The easiest routes to fly are in Valais, a paradise for paragliding! Ticino also has a lot to offer. Local starting points for paragliding cross-country flights are Engelberg, Flüelen, Fronalpstock and the Rigi. The best flying conditions are from April to the end of August, depending on the weather. Appointments for such flights can only be made at short notice!

Questions
How safe is tandem paragliding?
Safety is our top priority. We only fly with modern, certified paragliding equipment and tandem pilots who are licensed by the Swiss Hang Gliding Association. Paragliding in Switzerland is considered a low-risk sport. However, we are operating in alpine terrain, so minor accidents such as slipping or tripping during take-off cannot be ruled out. If your insurance does not cover such accidents, please inform us before the flight. Our tandem pilots’ liability insurance covers CHF 5,000,000.
What happens after booking?
Call us between 7 and 8 p.m. on the evening before your scheduled flight to receive information about the weather and meeting point. We are also happy to accept last-minute bookings, subject to availability.
Do I need to have paragliding experience?
You do not need any previous experience to fly as a passenger. Before the flight, there will be a simple briefing on how to take off, fly and land.
What do I need to bring with me for my tandem flight?
Good mountain/hiking boots or winter boots, depending on the season.
Seasonal clothing.
A windproof jacket, long trousers, sunglasses and gloves are recommended all year round.
Gift voucher, if available.
A good mood.
Don’t forget your Half-Fare Card, Swisspass or GA travelcard for the cable car, if available.
Is there an age limit for a tandem paragliding flight?
No one is too young or too old! We have flown with passengers aged between 3 and 92. Children and young people under the age of 18 require a declaration of consent from their parents.
What is the weight range for flying?
For passengers weighing less than 15 kg or more than 100 kg, we will need to check on a case-by-case basis whether a tandem flight is possible.
How much time is needed for the tandem adventure?
Depending on which flight you book, it will take between one and three hours to get to the launch site, prepare and fly.
Can I transfer a paragliding flight booking/voucher to another person?
The reserved flight can be transferred to another person on request.
Can I register for tandem flights with a group?
On request, we can fly with larger groups at the same time, but this depends on the availability of pilots. Depending on the number of passengers, the group will fly in several rounds. Please book early!
What happens in bad weather?
In case of rain, fog or strong winds, your tandem flight will be postponed. Please contact us if the paragliding flight cannot take place to arrange a new date. If the flight cannot take place due to weather conditions and postponement is not possible, we will refund the costs in accordance with our terms and conditions.
Do I need special insurance for tandem paragliding flights?
Paragliding in Switzerland is considered a non-risk sport, which is why compulsory accident insurance covers the costs. If you do not have Swiss accident insurance, we offer accident insurance for paragliding flights for CHF 20. Please let us know when you register if you require accident insurance. The tandem pilots’ liability insurance covers CHF 5,000,000.
Are photos or videos of my flight available?
Of course. Our pilots are equipped with a special camera stick and take around 15 photos and a few videos during the paragliding flight. The images will be uploaded directly to your mobile phone on request. The photo and video service costs CHF 40.
How are the tandem pilots trained?
All our tandem pilots are passionate flyers and are officially licensed by the Swiss Hang Gliding Association. The pilots’ many years of experience guarantee you maximum safety throughout the flight.
What is not included in the price?
Costs for travel to and from the flight area, shuttle costs, mountain railways, photo/video service and booking fees are not included.
How long does the tandem flight last?
The exact flight time depends on your booking and the weather. We try to fly for as long as possible.
I don't have a car. Do you offer transport?
Most of our flying areas are easily accessible by public transport. We offer a pick-up service from the nearest train station or bus stop.
Where are the flying areas?
We fly from various mountains in Central Switzerland.
> Engelberg Valley: This area has a very good infrastructure for paragliding and offers us the best protection from strong winds in the region
> Brunni (Engelberg): This is one of the best places for thermal flying
> Niederbauen: Very good infrastructure, beautiful views and calm air. Our most popular spot
> Pilatus: See Lake Lucerne and the city of Lucerne at your feet
> Fronalpstock: Great flying experience with beautiful views over Lake Lucerne. A short walk is required to reach the launch site
> Rigi: Beautiful ride on the cog railway to ‘the Queen of the Mountains’ and a great flight
> Rotenflue: The Mythen mountains are a great flying area with an easily accessible cable car
> Zugerberg: See the city of Zug from a bird’s eye view! It is very easy to take off and land here. Perfect place for a beautiful evening thermal flight in summer
