Soča Valley
Slovenia
June 06 – 13, 2026
Experience and training trip to or for cross-country pilots
The Soča Valley is one of the most beautiful flying areas in Europe – ideal for pleasure flyers, budding cross-country pilots and experienced XC flyers. The impressive mountain backdrop, numerous launch sites and a wide valley with the emerald-green Soča offer perfect conditions. In addition, there is warm hospitality and cuisine that harmoniously combines Mediterranean and Alpine influences.
Our trip is designed to introduce novice cross-country pilots step-by-step to the secrets of successful and safe XC flying, while experienced pilots are encouraged with specific tasks and opportunities to maximize flight time without KM constraints.
We focus on each individual and their abilities and provide personalized tips and feedback. By means of a questionnaire and interview, we pick you up exactly where you are and accompany you to your goals on this trip so that you take home an instructive and eventful memory.
How do we do that
Before the trip, you will receive a questionnaire about your flying experience and your goals. We also analyze some of your flights in advance so that you get a clear assessment of your current level. The week on site builds on these findings.
After the trip, you will receive a personal debriefing with all your notes, tips and feedback on your goals. We will provide you with this as a digital handout (PDF). It contains an initial assessment, an evaluation of your XC week and recommendations for your further flying development.
This will be an instructive, safe and unforgettable week of flying for you.
Flying areas
In addition to the well-known flying areas in the Soča Valley such as Stol and Kobala, we can also switch to other regions such as Lijak or Gemona depending on the weather. The choice of area depends entirely on the weather conditions. If flying is not possible, we will organize an alternative program.
