The notice applies exclusively to Quadro light reserve parachutes that are in use in their original internal container, for example in a front container. During packing courses in Germany, two incidents were documented in which the deployment of Quadro containers was impeded by the container fabric becoming snagged.
If your reserve parachute is fitted in a harness-specific inner container, this safety notice is not relevant – for example, in a Woody Valley GTO light 2, Wani light 1 to 3, or a Wani 2 and 3.
All users who are using the original internal container must have it inspected by a reserve parachute packer.
